Holiday Season - A tribute to our photographers

Happy December friends!

It has been a while since our last email and you deserve an overall update, but we wanted our final newsletter of the year to be a dedication to our wonderful photographers.

Each season brings new growth and vibrant colors on the farm, resulting in photographers visiting and capturing beautiful images throughout the year.

This holiday season has been our busiest yet - we had Santa, our vintage truck, the pole barn, Social Graces Mobile Bar, snow machines, 5 photographers, and dozens of families. It was a season for the books!

Over the course of the sessions, we noticed the workload of the photographers seemed heavier than past years. A few expressed how busy this particular year has been - the year gatherings and weddings could once again resume. While they all displayed gratitude for the abundance of work, they also shared the stress it brought.

Many of us don't realize or understand the magnitude of responsibilities this profession requires. And what we do see is only a glimpse of what it takes to provide a beautiful product.

Photographers are primarily their own secretaries: scheduling, communicating, and performing all of the organizational tasks it takes to properly prepare and advertise. They bring their A game to their sessions - capturing the best smiles or candid moments of those both young and old, moody or distracted, cloudy or sunny skies, etc. They carry their equipment and props and stage the perfect setting. They incorporate creativity and design to keep their scenes current. And finally they edit for hours to deliver to us the perfect gallery.

We are truly in awe of these women that we worked with this season. They are each so different in their style, delivery, and personality, yet all very determined, organized, and talented professionals.

Please - go the extra mile to appreciate your photographer. There is so much that goes into doing what they do and they really deserve our gratitude.

To Kristann, Jackie, Tree, Sarah, and Ashley - we thank you. It was an awesome holiday season and you created and captured so many smiles, as well as long lasting memories.

We hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!

All our love,
Christopher & Jordan McGuire
