2019 Highlights

We're back!!
While we took some time off from social media and our newsletters, Christopher and Trey were hard at work this winter.

2019

2019 was a year of 'unknowns' and 'firsts' for us with the farm - we didn't know what we didn't know, as they say! Looking back we can now say it was an unforgettable and incredible experience for our family, and we're even MORE excited for what 2020 has in store.

Highlights

Sunflowers

We planted ~4 acres of sunflowers in two plots with great results

Over a dozen local photographers hosted family photos, maternity, and engagement sessions in the flowers

Pumpkins

  • Over a dozen local photographers hosted family photos, maternity, and engagement sessions in the flowers

We planted 1,800 pumpkin plants by hand and had an excellent yield despite a very dry growing season

Over 250 people attended our inaugural pumpkin patch and we sold scores of pumpkins at our roadside stand

Over $500 was donated to the Wounded Warrior Project from the proceeds of our roadside pumpkin sales(!)

Santa

Over 50 local families had their photo taken with Santa on the farm this year!

New Farmer

We welcomed the newest Tidewater Farmer to our family - Collin Avery McGuire, who joined us on December 28th!

*We're looking forward to 2020 and can't wait to share new and exciting ventures with you as the summer season approaches!

We're thankful for you and your willingness to continue to learn and grow with us,
